Gandhi Institute for Technological Advancement (GITA), Bhubaneswar is one of the technical institution run by Vidya Bharati Educational Trust (VBET), approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, recognized by Govt. of Odisha and is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela.
GITA, a member of Gandhi Group of Institutions came into existence in the capital city Bhubaneswar in the year 2004 under dynamic leadership of Dr. Satya Prakash Panda, Chairman and Dr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda, Secretary. The college made an earnest beginning with four engineering branches namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The college has grown over the years and added further engineering branches like Mechanical Engineering & Information Technology.
Looking into the market demand post graduate courses like Master in Computer Application and Master of Business Administration have also been started.
GITA being a symbol of quality education have excellent infrastructure like state of the art laboratories, Air-conditioned library, Wi-Fi internet facilities, Hostel for both boys and girls, Gymnasium, Playgrounds etc. It has excellent learned faculties who are devoted towards all-round development of the students.
GITA imparts not only technical education but also train the students to imbibe leadership quality, build moral ethics and lead disciplined life. GITA has a very dynamic Training & Placement cell which has helped the students to have placements in various reputed corporate bodies, core sectors etc. Nearly 90-95% students have obtained placements while they are studding in the final year. GITA welcomes you whole heartedly.
In the year 1996, Dr. Satya Prakash Panda, MA, LLB, Ph.D & Dr. Chandra Dhwaj Panda, MA, M.Phil, Ph.D have established Vidya Bharati Educational Trust, Gunupur. The Trust has promoted large number of institutes of Excellence in the field of Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies, Business Studies, M.Sc Course, Dental Surgery and also Public Schools in Odisha. All the eleven institutions are approved by AICTE, DCI New Delhi and Govt of Odisha and affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, Berhampur University and Utkal University respectively. |
